For the Arizona rules.
Rule dates: October 3 and October 6, 2026.
Can the visit happen on a screen?
Read this for consent, privacy and exam rules. Telehealth connects you with care from another place, for example through a video visit.
The person giving care must still judge whether a remote visit fits the patient's needs.

Read this to check Arizona registration for a doctor, nurse or other health professional licensed in another state. Applicants need a licence without restrictions, checks on past discipline, and insurance for harm caused by care. They must name someone to receive legal papers in Arizona, send the required details and fees, obey Arizona care laws, and keep the board updated. Prescribing drugs with special misuse controls also requires joining Arizona's prescription-monitoring system.
That registration alone does not allow in-person care here. Ask the matching Arizona board to confirm registration or any other claimed permission to treat you.
Read the terms for out-of-state careWhat about a drug made to order?
An ordinary compounding pharmacy makes medicine against a prescription for a named patient. A larger site called an outsourcing facility may make batches without a patient-named prescription under federal law. Ask the pharmacy which kind it is.
Arizona's updated rules took effect on September 5, 2026. Ordinary pharmacies follow pharmacy quality rules; outsourcing sites follow drug-factory quality rules. The state pharmacy board oversees an ordinary pharmacy; FDA oversees registered outsourcing sites and inspects them. A state permit does not mean every raw ingredient is allowed for a custom medicine. Ask the pharmacist what rule permits the ingredient and this prescription; the checks are explained in the plain-words page.

Board checks as of October 3, 2026.
Start with the licence type.
Use the board matching the person's licence. MD and DO are two doctor licence types, each checked by its own Arizona board. Nurses and physician assistants also have their own board searches.

Arizona's rules on October 6, 2026 restrict the board records shown online. Ask the board for public records of past complaints and decisions about the person's licence, including older records. Some pending complaints cannot be disclosed.
Records of public meetings, called minutes, and meeting notices are outside these usual website limits, including the five-year limit. They may help you find older public board decisions about the person; ask for those records too.

What changes when a drug is made to order?
FDA is short for the Food and Drug Administration, the US agency for drugs. Its notes explain compounding: making a drug to order.
A compounded drug is not FDA-approved. It may be legal when made under the compounding rules, such as a patient-named prescription and ingredient checks for an ordinary pharmacy.
FDA: read about drugs made to orderIs the drug still in short supply?
Neither tirzepatide nor semaglutide injections appeared on FDA's drug shortage list on September 26, 2026.
A local shop being out of stock is not the same as a drug on that national list.

The agency that runs Medicare sets out who can use this temporary programme. Read the terms as well as the price.
It sits outside Part D, Medicare's usual drug benefit. It does not cover everyone.
